Daranta International Inc. buys the Utility Company Franchise - 25th August 2008

Daranta International Inc.'s is now a Utility Service Provider following its recent purchase of the Utility Company franchise. The franchise is for exclusive territories in Calgary NW and the West African region and was formally opened 25th August 2008.

Zebra Technical Service Limited - the Nigerian affiliate will handle all marketing and sales activities of the franchise for the West African region from their base in Lagos, Nigeria under the close supervision and direction of Daranta International Inc. and the Utility Company. Charles Abeghe - the President of Daranta International Inc. was quoted as saying "By adding Utility’s Connected Office services for small and medium-sized (SMB) businesses, our customers can benefit from enterprise-level IT services at prices smaller organizations can easily afford". The Utility Company was founded to address the two major problems plaguing businesses today:

Over-spending – the fact that the average business spends $360 per user per month on technology for an industry total of $400 billion annually.
Under-Utilization – unfortunately only 15% of this investment in technology is actually utilized.

Zebra Technical Services Ltd proposes alliance with DPR - 15th August 2008

Zebra Technical Service Limited is working to build a strategic alliance with the Department of Petroleum Resource (DPR) in Nigeria to develop an enhancement of the ECMT that will allow for online submission of applications for permits and consents by upstream Oil & Gas companies.

The enhanced ECMT will allow companies to check status of their application online and will drastically reduce approval cycle time, data mining and resources while creating a uniform benchmark for compliance monitoring and verification. This proposal was contained in an ECMT presentation to officials of the DPR on 15th August 2008.

Zebra Technical Services Limited (ZTSL) is pleased to announce the execution of a joint venture agreement with Daranta International Inc.- (DII) of Calgary, Canada. Under the arrangement ZTSL will market and support the Daranta ECMT to clients in Nigeria. ZTSL will also act as the Nigerian affiliate of Daranta International Inc. and her strategic partners. DII will support Zebra Technical Services Limited with resources and technical expertise to ensure the quality of services meet international standards.

In a related development Daranta International Inc. successfully tested and deployed the Electronic Compliance Management Tool (ECMT)^TM for a major Oil & Gas producer in Nigeria. The ECMT facilitates lifecycle compliance monitoring and reporting for upstream oil field projects. The tool is built on a library of applicable Nigerian petroleum laws and guidance issued by the main regulatory agencies. Consequently concession, exploration, development, production and abandonment compliance items can be tracked including post approval requirements. The tool allows for updating new laws and will email subscribers or users on upload of new laws, tasks and deadlines amongst other novel functions.
